Pomfret School Events Center Awarded 2010 AIA Connecticut People’s Choice Award
The Pomfret School Events Center on the Campus of the Pomfret School in Northeastern Connecticut was recently awarded a 2010 AIA Connecticut People’s Choice Award. The post and beam structure with its reclaimed wood floors, massive stone fireplace and inviting lodge-like atmosphere was awarded “the building in which people would most like to study”.
The Pomfret School Events also received the 2009 Best Fireplace Award from Masonry Construction. The inside/outside stone fireplace is the focal point of the center and provides comfortable gathering space for students, parents and visitors. The fireplace was built by B.W. Dexter II Inc. of Danielson Connecticut.

The Burbank Residence in Groton Long Point CT received the 2009 Home Builders Association of Connecticut award for Best Custom Home Under 3,000 sf. This classic New England seaside cottage was constructed by BW Williams Builder.
The house was also featured in the September 2010 issue of Luxury Home Quarterly (pages 116-119).
